Safety committee

Hi,

We had our first official safety committee meeting this week. Went well.

Went to a semminar to get some direction on how to go about it and set goals. The semminar was really good. Overwhelming the task ahead.>>>

So what insights do you have, Lefty, about getting people to realize that it's not only the "other" guy who can/will get hurt? I'm asking because I'm trying to get several workers to clean up their approach to safety, and I get only "eye-sight" co>>>

There are 6 on the committee. Me, one foreman, Ruth form the office and 3 workers.>>>

Inprove safety concoousness. I had those two injuries. People think that injures only happen to the other guy.

When I was in the field I could do a better job of keeping people safe. Without this people will continue on their merrry way.>>>

Lefty, what was the motivation behind setting up the committee? Who do you have on it?>>>
