true slate

GAF true slate has anyone installed it? What do you think?>>>

I believe GAF bought it from an outfit in Texas, (Slate 2.0).....We did a couple of projects with it 5-6 years ago.... Yes; It's a 12" pc. of slate, installed w/2'- 4" headlap....and much like a shake liner; Some type of petroleum/plastic liner and stainless steel hooks..... Never heard anything ill of the jobs we did...We tried to get it going.....Selling it to GAF was most-likely a good move.....The majority of the slate was coming from China when we used it...Not that coming from China makes it any less...all the slate was supposedly "tested" for it's particular "grades"....>>>
